Why is architecture photography interesting?

I chose this type of photography mainly because I have always enjoyed taking photos of delightful buildings while traveling, not just to post them on social media, but also because I was fascinated by the unique architecture that I had never seen before. Consequently, I have plenty of experience with photographing it and when I was deciding on a theme, I had no hesitation in choosing this one. I chose it for several reasons.

Firstly, photographing it is quite simple. You only need a steady hand, a straight camera, and an aesthetic sense. The advantage is that sometimes no matter which angle you take a picture from if you choose a building that is not boring but has a lot of details, the image will turn out well.

Besides, architecture is almost everywhere around us. If you are in the right place, you can make a lot of beautiful images very quickly. For this reason, I really like to visit capital cities that have medieval architecture or big cities with modern, glass architecture, because every building there is worth seeing and worth the time you spend photographing it.

Furthermore, I think it is definitely worth having a gallery filled with images of aesthetic, impressive, and artistically built buildings or other constructions.

On the whole, while you are trying to make the breathtaking architecture in the picture look as close as possible to what it is in reality, you can also have a lot of fun. But as Arnold Newman said: “Photography, as we all know, is not real at all. It is an illusion of reality with which we create our own private world.”
