REPORT ON: Robotics in Techno park

INTRODUCTION 

The aim of this report is to give feedback on our excursion to the Techno park in Celje. The excursion was organised by our school Gimnazija Jesenice with the purpose of exploring Techno park. The information was collected by my ITS group while we were given a tour around Techno park.

TECHNOPARK

The park focuses on the technolgy and capabilities of human body and mind. When we entered the Techno park we first had a look around the display area. We continued to the third floor, which majority of the students found most memorable. The guide walked us through some of the stations and gave us detailed insight on the planetorioum projector room where we got to watch a short film about our solar system. The guide then split us into two groups. One got to explore the park by themselves, while the other went to robotics.

ROBOTICS

Firstly, when we got to robotics room we were given instructions on what we were going to do and what is the objective is. Robotics got many students’ attention so they went to work rapidly. Secondly, we got the instructions on how to assemble the robot. Afterwards, the goal was to programme it so that it would win in a race to the line. That distracted the majority of the students for a couple of minutes and then it was time to display our creations. Here we all got to show our competitive nature. In the end it was all about having a good time and exercising our minds.

CONCLUSION

As the report suggests the park was of great intrest to me and my peers. Nevertheless, due to the short span of time appointed for the Tecno park visit, the students were deprived of the whole Techno park experience and were not able to get a look around the whole exhibition.
